This is a quick bonus episode and a call to action.
Our good friend and recurring guest on the podcast, Daniel Willcocks, is launching an emergency appeal for the people of Ukraine.
Writers for Ukraine is a global challenge to writers of all kinds to contribute their word counts produced from Wednesday 9th to Tuesday 15th March to a group tally and to reach one million words collectively.
We know that you may be struggling to write at the moment and we are right there with you, but with a little push and with the strength of this awesome community, perhaps the words will come more easily.
The challenge is also aiming to raise £10,000 to support the refugee charity, British-Ukrainian Aid. No matter the complex causes of the conflict, this is affecting real people. One million people have had to flee their homes and are in desperate need of food, clothing and other essential supplies. 100% of the funds raised during the challenge will be donated to this good cause.
Unstoppable Authors is supporting Dan’s initiative and we’d love for you to join us. To kick off the week, we’ll be hosting writing sprints on Zoom on Wednesday 9th March from 8pm GMT. Make sure that you’ve joined our mailing list in order to get the link to join the session.
